Propolis Oatmeal Honey Soap

Propolis Oatmeal Honey is an all natural, fragrance-free bar made with the addition of unfiltered wild honey, propolis and organic oatmeal flour.

The word "propolis" is derived from Greek, in which "pro" stands for "at the entrance to" and "polis" for "community" or "city" which means this product is used for hive defense against weather, intruders and disease.  Bees produce this dark, resinous, tacky substance using resins primarily from the buds of poplar and cone bearing trees.  Bees also collect resins from other local plants in the region.  Propolis contains other bee products including wax, pollen and honey.  Considered by many cultures to be mother nature's antibiotic, propolis has been used overa millennia as a topical treatment for eczema, acne, cold sores, burns and shallow wounds.  Studies have shown propolis to have antimicrobial, antifungal and anti-inflammatory properies.
